This perfect partnership of Chondroitin and Glucosamine provide key components of normal joint function. When damage occurs to the joints, even from simple wear and tear, demand for chondroitin and glucosamine can outweigh natural supply, and the need to supplement the diet becomes greater.
Both Chondroitin and Glucosamine are produced within the body and play an important role in the synthesis of healthy cartilage. Chondroitin absorbs water, adding to the thickness and elasticity of cartilage (the ‘cushioning effect). Chondroitin has also demonstrated to inhibit the degradation enzymes associated with the breakdown of cartilage and synovial fluid that can ultimately lead to loss of joint function. Glucosamine is a major building block of glycosaminoglycans, complex proteins that form part of the structure of cartilage, and is therefore essential for the production of new cartilage in the joints. Glucosamine is also needed for the synthesis of synovial fluid - a vital cushioning substance that protects the joints from the damaging effects of friction.
Three tablets per day provide 1,500mg Glucosamine 2KCL and 1,200mg of Chondroitin, the proven tested levels used in scientific trials to improve joint mobility.
