Details
Glucosamine naturally occurs in the body as a precursor for glycosaminoglycans, a major component of joint cartilage and can play an important role in protecting against the degeneration of joints and discomfort associated with this.
So why take our Glucosamine 1500mg? As your damaged joints require a greater amount of glucosamine for healing, your body's own natural supply can be short. Glucosamine can boost regeneration of cartilage and improve synovial fluid production to make it thicker, more ‘cushioning’ and thereby, protective. As a result, inflammation in your joints may be reduced.
The largest study undertaken on glucosamine showed that those taking 1500mg of glucosamine a day for 4 weeks showed a significant reduction in the pain and stiffness associated with knee osteoarthritis. Those taking glucosamine showed greater results and fewer side effects than those patients on non-steroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers such as ibuprofen.
