Details
Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is a thorny plant presenting decorative leaves and purple flower heads. The plant originates from mountains of the Mediterranean region, where it forms scrub on a rocky base. Milk thistle extract is made from the seeds of the plant. Used as a traditional herbal remedy for over 2000 years, a natural herb that also has antioxidant properties. Due to the popularity of this herb the plant itself is at risk and so we only use sustainably sourced ingredients.

I decided recently after many years of excessive drinking to cut down and try and take better care of myself. Step 1 was to reduce my alcohol intake and step 2 was to eat healthier. Step 3 was to look into diet supplements. I was recommended milk thistle by my new gym instructor as it really helps the liver to recover after alcohol abuse. I still have the odd drink but nowhere near the level i was drinking before, i feel healthier and quite good now. Recommended select healthy for honest priced supplements.

A good supplement for liver function, especially if you are partial to the odd drink or three. I read up on this supplement after a friend said that i might find it beneficial. The health articles that i read all said that it aided liver function.
